HOPEDALE CENTRE PROGRAMS
The program at Hopedale Centre is continually modified and expanded to meet the growing educational needs of the student. The Centre’s curriculum includes material affecting the academic, vocational, social and emotional development of students. Each student’s progress is continually monitored and evaluated.The Hopedale Centre curriculum is divided into three programs:
Program 1: Kindergarden/Early Primary
Program 2: Academic & Vocational Training
Program 3: Life Centered Education Program
Students are accepted at Hopedale Centrefromagefive (5) years.
While students vary widely in their academic abilities the program broadly serves those with one or more of the following challenges: –
- Severe Learning Disabilities
- Multiple disabilities (moderate to severe)
- Intellectual Disabilities (mild to moderate)
- Developmental Delays
- Autism
- Downs Syndrome
Students are admitted to the Program after submitting a comprehensive evaluation profile. This comprehensive evaluation is essential to determining whether Hopedale’s Program is appropriate for the applicant. The evaluation profile also enhances Hopedale’s ability to tailor instruction to students’ needs.
